This team was set up in 2005 with the aim of providing us with more than just the weekend actions. Matches were initially played on different days.There was no team name. It was only in 2006 when we have more regular players that the need for a team name surfaced. Since we thought playing weekdays matches on a fixed day would help all players to similarise or associate with, and we somehow preferred middle of the week; viola! Wednesday FC was borned. Players came and gone but the majority of the pioneers were still around. We do travel to other parts of the country or even overseas for friendlies. Many of our members are also participating in the KL Social Soccer league. The best managed social soccer league in KL.

A big THANK YOU to KIN Copper and Electrics for your generous and supportive gesture towards WFC. It is definitely not easy for teams who only play in social leagues with occasional local and overseas friendly games to get sponsor. Due to the minimum or zero exposure to the media, not many businessman is generous enough to contribute especially when they are not footballer or not playing for that particular team. So guys, put your hands together and give a big round of applause to the Managing Director of KIN Copper and Electrics for his gesture.
