This team was set up in 2005 with the aim of providing us with more than just the weekend actions. Matches were initially played on different days.There was no team name. It was only in 2006 when we have more regular players that the need for a team name surfaced. Since we thought playing weekdays matches on a fixed day would help all players to similarise or associate with, and we somehow preferred middle of the week; viola! Wednesday FC was borned. Players came and gone but the majority of the pioneers were still around. We do travel to other parts of the country or even overseas for friendlies. Many of our members are also participating in the KL Social Soccer league. The best managed social soccer league in KL.

Famous World Cup Upsets

This is the few famous upsets that i can recall when i was just a school boy in the 80s...Algeria beating Germany (European champion then) but despite that all Germany had to do was to play a simple draw with cousin coutry Austria in their last group match (so that both can qualify to the second round) and forced out Algeria. They both did and poor Algeria have to tapau and go home.
Well, who knows if Algeria do beat Egypt today and qualify for South Africa, they may be grouped together with Germany again??

Oman Beyik..remember how high this guy can jump and score from a header? A famous 1-0 victory against defending Champion Argentina at the opening match of world cup Italia 1990.
